Center in Washington, linked to the United Nations, aims to promote cooperation
at all levels. It has a very high level steering group and many links to

United Kingdom and Europe

The UK Government's Year 2000
Team and Year 2000 Media Coordination Unit are part of the Central
IT Unit. This site hosts information on UK infrastructure readiness
and public awareness research as well as Ministerial and Parliamentary

Action 2000: UK Government organisation,
started in mid 1997. Considerably improved since then and now a useful
resource, especially for small/medium enterprises (*13 Jul

UK Central Computer & Telecommunications Agency (CCTA): The
Millenium Bomb. Links to fuller information, a discussion
group to which UK Y2K people might profitably subscribe, and contacts
at the UK Dept of Trade & Industry. Also UK conference information
and a list of "old computer languages" with links to some information and
experience re Year 2000. CCTA publish a set of guidelines "to assist organisations
in tackling the Year 2000 date change. The guidelines are be non-proprietary
