A freeware fix from RighTime for the computer clock on older IBM-compatible computers - this is at least a useful description of the problem (30 Aug 96)
WillIt: a freeware utility for PCs (15 Mar 98)
A survey of Year 2000 problems in C code, and a scanner (the Open Systems Portability Checker) which "can be configured to check for [relevant] constructs". Provided by Knowledge Software Ltd. (13 Dec 96)
If you are operating an older 286- or 386-based PC, MS-DOS could give you a severe headache. DR-DOS (the updated version of Novell's DOS) might be a solution for many of these (20 Jul 98: thanks to Mike Kusmirak of CompInfo)
